Summer, 2013: I absolutely love the beautiful music of SLIGO CREEK – Al Petteway & Amy White

All of the music on this site carries wonderful memories of the corresponding times of my life, going back to around 1974.  SLIGO CREEK  resonates with the beauty, transcendence, harmony, light, revelations, miracles and joy I’ve experienced in this existence, and the gratitude I have for those incredible gifts! Often, throughout my life, I’ve been asked: “You’re always smiling and happy, why is that?” My response was always: “I have an apartment, a bed to sleep in, clothes, food, hobbies, and great friends. I live in NYC; to me, the most incredible city in the world! I’m very happy and grateful for this; what more do I need?”

Brian Eno & David Byrne – Qu’ran (from: My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts):

Atlanta, GA; 2003-2011

My Atlanta condo provided plenty of space to pursue activities I love: sculpture/constructions, container gardening and cooking for friends; especially pies! Life in Atlanta gave me a wonderful gift: several very good people who became dear friends, to this day.  You add joy, laughter and happiness to my life; I love you always!

In 2003 the clay “soil” of a front yard in Atlanta, with full southern exposure, was like concrete (not even a blade of grass was growing); only 4 months later, after amending the yard with about 2,000 lbs. of topsoil, compost, manure and sand, it was transformed to a lush, vibrant landscape:
